Youth Engagement & Communications Director
 Shayne is a human rights and peacebuilding researcher and practitioner. She started with ISOKO as a Remote Researcher in 2019 before taking on the position of Youth Engagement Coordinator in 2021 and eventually Youth Engagement and Communications Director in 2022. Shayne has experience and knowledge in human rights advocacy around gender, youth, refugees and forced migrants, ethnopolitical conflict, and peace and security. She has experience in both Women, Peace and Security (WPS)  and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agendas. Shayne is an active member of civil society locally, nationally, and internationally. In addition to her work with ISOKO, Shayne is a co-founder of the Canadian Coalition for Youth, Peace and Security (CCYPS), a member of the board for Rohingya Human Rights Network, and the Communications Officer for the Canadian Association for Refugee and Forced Migration Studies (CARFMS). She holds a Bachelor’s in Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Studies, a Master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Peace and Conflict Studies.
