ISOKO Partners Convene African Leaders to advance Youth Empowerment and the shared values between Africa and the United States of America.

On Saturday, July 19, 2025, the leadership team of ISOKO Partners for Peace and Gender Equality Inc. led by Christian Ngendahimana, President & Executive Director, Theresa Dionne, Director of Programs and Operations and Aline Cishaka, Associate Director of Programs collaborated with John Wise, Esquire, Board Member, World Affairs Council, to welcome Empowering Youth through Workforce Development, from five African countries in efforts and established strategic partnership and alliances. 
ISOKO is leading the ISOKO Working Group of Women and Youth for Peace and Security in Africa, a network of leaders from women and youth grassroots organizations from conflict and post conflict affected countries in Africa and initiated the ISOKO Academy for Democracy and Development in Africa to build peaceful and prosperous communities and foster economic exchanges and promote shared values between the United States and Africa.
Thanks to the International Visitor Leadership Program, U.S. Department of State, for offering an opportunity to ISOKO Partners for Peace and Gender Equality to support the Empowering Youth Initiative, through Workforce Development. ISOKO Partners for Peace and Gender Equality continues to implement innovative programs throughout Africa.

Building Awareness Among Young People: The Launching of YPS Clubs in Burundi

In September 2021, the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) launched the Young Women + Leaders for Peace (YW+L) network in the African Great Lakes region with members from Burundi, Rwanda, and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) being represented. The Training of Trainers sessions were co-hosted by GNWP, ISOKO Partners for Peace and Gender Equality, and Benimpuhwe in Kigali, Rwanda.
