Program Manager

Faith Ellams is a Nigerian-American peacebuilding and governance
practitioner serving as Program Manager for the NGOs Working Group of Women and Youth for Peace and Security in Africa at ISOKO Partners for Peace and Gender Equality (IPGE). Her work focuses on peacebuilding, governance, youth engagement, and inclusive community development.


Ms. Ellams has experience supporting civic participation and accountability initiatives through her work with the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC), where she contributed to programs promoting transparency, citizen engagement, and anti corruption advocacy. Her work included stakeholder engagement, communications, social media outreach, and the development of educational materials designed to strengthen public awareness and participation in governance processes.

She has collaborated with international youth initiatives, including the International Youth Conference (IYC), supporting projects that empower young people through leadership development, professional engagement, creative collaboration, and global dialogue. Her work has included contributing to youth-centered initiatives and partnering on projects designed to amplify young voices and foster cross-cultural understanding.

Ms. Ellams has also served as a student organizer and leader with Peace Action New York State, facilitating programs and discussions focused on peacebuilding, international cooperation, nuclear disarmament, and the human consequences of conflict. Through her advocacy and organizing efforts, she has helped create spaces for dialogue on urgent global challenges and strengthen youth participation in peace initiatives.


As a researcher, Ms. Ellams conducted research in Cameroon examining the relationship between national identity and governance, with particular attention to displacement, social cohesion, and the impact of conflict on citizens’ sense of belonging and state legitimacy. Her academic and professional interests center on the intersections of peace, governance, migration, and community resilience.


In addition to her professional work, Ms. Ellams volunteers with the Organization for the Advancement of Nigerians (OAN), supporting initiatives that promote service, cultural engagement, and advocacy within the Nigerian diaspora community.


Ms. Ellams has participated in international convenings dedicated to advancing peace and global cooperation, including observances of the International Day of Peace and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) Conference at the United Nations, where she engaged with diverse stakeholders on issues relating to peacebuilding, youth participation, disarmament, and international collaboration.

Ms. Ellams holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Adelphi University, with a minor in African, Black and Caribbean Studies. Drawing from her Nigerian heritage and commitment to global citizenship, she is passionate about advancing the Women, Youth, Peace and Security agenda and empowering communities to build more peaceful, inclusive, and just societies.
